AlekSIS

This is an application for use with the AlekSIS platform.

Features

AlekSIS-App-NIS provides models and a REST API resembling the old classic Network Information Service, i.e. it can handle user and group information suitable for system user management on Linux and other POSIX and UNIX-like systems.

It can be used together with AlekSIS-App-LDAP to synchronise the information back and forth with an LDAP directory, and with the nss-pam-oidc library to consume its data for authentication and name resolution, e.g. in `Debian Edu`_.
